December 2015 Fishing Report: Palm Beach, Singer Island, Palm Beach Shores

Welcome to the Coastal Angler’s December fishing forecast for Palm Beach, Singer Island and Juno Beach Florida. . This month is the kick- off to the Sailfish season. You may have already known this with the cooler weather moving in, but it’s also a great time to fish for the speedy Wahoo. Bait fish will be making the move south and hungry predators will not be far behind. Kite fishing live bait for sails or trolling for Hoo’s.. you can’t lose. If fishing is slow and your ready for plan B, you need to put a bait on the bottom. December is a great time to fool big Mutton’s to bite your hook. Long leaders and small hooks will be my choice. There’s nothing like seeing a pumpkin Mutton being reeled up off the bottom. Good luck!

For you inlet fishermen, check the waters from the inlet to the white roofs for Tarpon, Jack’s and Cobia. The bait of choice for these guys will be a Sardine or a swimming plug. Site fishing is the way to go. Don’t stop intill you see something worth casting on. There will be alot of traffic on the water with the arrival of the big sportfish boats from the north. Make sure to give these guys a wide birth.. be safe and tight lines!
