June 2015 Fishing Report: Palm Beach, Singer Island, Palm Beach Shores

Welcome to the June Coastal Angler Magazine’s deep sea fishing forecast for Palm Beach, Singer Island and Juno Beach Florida. Summer has arrived and so will the afternoon storms. Getting out early is a must. With the arrival of the Sardines, the Kings will not be far behind. The best spot to target these toothy fish is to the north. The waters off the Juno Pier will provide excellent bites and under all the Kings will be Snappers waiting for the scraps to fall to the ocean floor below. So if your looking for a good Snapper bite… find the Kings!

If your plans are to head out deep for Dolphin.. head dead East to the first weed line. Dolphin and Blackfin will be taking small trolling baits. Small means.. small Ballyhoo and feather lures. There’s and old saying.. ” elephants eat peanuts” so leave the marlin lures at home. Also let’s not forget about the speedy Wahoo. You will definitely need to have a wire rig out for that guy. Good luck!

Your a inshore angler? I have good news! The Tarpon and Snook will be invading the beaches and Inlets. Best spot to land a huge Tarpon.. check out the beaches at John MacArthur State Park. Monsters roam in packs here looking for Sardines and other bait fish. Make sure you bring a stout rod that can handle the job at hand. I like the Pen Spin- fisher on a Rampage rod…. That’s the forcast. Catch them up!
