Welcome to the deep sea fishing May Coastal Angler magazine fishing report for the coast of Palm Beach, Singer Island and Palm Beach Shores Florida. May is the start of all the KDW’s for the summer. If you don’t know what a KDW tournament is…well it’s a Dolphin, Kingfish, Wahoo fishing tournament. Check out your local tackle shop for entry forms to any of these tournaments. Usually fished on the weekends, KDW’s can be a fun activity for friends or family. Imagine going fishing and getting paid to do so…wow what an idea! With that In mind, the Dophin bite will Heat up. April showed some great fishing and I believe it will follow into May.. Also, the King fishing gets better. The water off Juno beach holds good school do to the reef structure in the area. If your looking for the speedy Wahoo, you need to high speed troll first thing in the morning or late afternoon. The ledges off the Juno pier will produce some big boys. Find the Bonito and you will find the Wahoo.. ( wahoo eat Bonito)

For the inshore angler.. Keep your eyes out on the beach for Cobia. They will be shadowing Rays moving south. Also huge Tarpon will be on the move, looking for schools of baitfish. The inshore holds lots of opportunities .. You just have to act on them.. Good luck and remember ( you can’t catch them from the couch)!
