May is here and so are the fish. This is the time of the year when the seas start to calm down and the palegics start migrating north. Smoker kingfish will move in and cruise the 80ft reefs. A live gog or blue runner will get the job done. The big kings eat big bait. We have landed 50lb plus kingfish on 5lb runners. You definitely need to put a few singer hook in a bait this size. Bump trolling a couple big baits will produce big fish. Don’t be surprised if a Wahoo comes into the spread. Good luck!
